Our Mission The Sherburne Soil & Water Conservation District is dedicated to working cooperatively with landowners and agencies in order to promote the wise and sustainable use of our land and water related resources; to educate and inform the public about these uses; to help solve the resource problems within the District; and to serve as a county wide natural resource information and referral center.

Mission  to protect and enhance Benton County's soil, water, and other natural resources; to nurture a conservation ethic by educating county residents on conservation and environmental issues.

Kanabec SWCD is a provider of technical and financial resources to landowners to implement conservation practices to protect our natural resources.

The Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources (BWSR) issued an order (PDF) for the discontinuance of the Hennepin Conservation District (HCD) and the transfer of all district duties and authorities to the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners on December 18, 2013.

Meeker Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) was organized in the fall of 1949 and additional townships were added in 1951 and 1953 and all cities were added in July of 1972.

MASWCD is a nonprofit organization which exists to provide leadership and a common voice for Minnesota’s soil and water conservation districts and to maintain a positive, results-oriented relationship with rule making agencies, partners and legislators; expanding education opportunities for the districts so they may carry out effective conservation programs.

Established on May 26th of 1958, the Wadena Soil & Water Conservation District was organized by local farmers, with help from the Agriculture Extension Service.

SWCDs fill the crucial niche of providing land and water conservation services to owners of private lands.  Managing private lands in a way that promotes a sound economy and sustains and enhances natural resources is key to Minnesota’s environmental health.

The purpose of the Chippewa Soil and Water Conservation District is to control soil erosion and improve water quality. The primary goal of the District is to take available technical, financial and educational resources, whatever their source, and focus on coordinating them so that they meet the needs of the local land user.

The Minnesota Assocation of Soil & Water Conservation Districts Area II Association is made up of the Boards of Supervisors of 11 area districts.

Grant County The Grant SWCD is a local unit of government that manages and directs natural resource programs within Grant County. The SWCD works with landowners in rural, urban and lakeshore areas to implement a programs for the conservation, use, and development of soil, water, and related resources.

The Mission of the Olmsted Soil and Water Conservation District is to promote more sustainable resources utilization and protection of natural resources in the County

Lyon SWCD was established in 1945 to address the resource needs of land users in the area . Today, the SWCD assists not only rural but urban landowners with various programs and information the needed to protect the soil, water and air quality.

Mission Statement: The purpose of the Hubbard County Soil and Water Conservation District is to help preserve surface and ground water quality, to encourage wise land-use decisions throughout the district, and to foster a secure and prosperous community with agriculture, tourism and industry working together in harmony for the general welfare of the people of the district.

The Cass Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) works in partnership with the Environmental Services Department and provides landowners technical services for: Wetland Conservation Act permits Erosion and sedimentation control plans Agricultural and weed inspection.

The South St. Louis Soil and Water Conservation District helps local landowners, businesses & local officials install & use Best Management Practices to protect & enhance water quality in the St.
