Chippewa Soil and Water Conservation District

The purpose of the Chippewa Soil and Water Conservation District is to control soil erosion and improve water quality. The primary goal of the District is to take available technical, financial and educational resources, whatever their source, and focus on coordinating them so that they meet the needs of the local land user.

The Chippewa County Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD) is a local unit of government that manages and directs natural resource management programs at the local level. The SWCD works with local landowners and with other units of government, to carry out programs for conservation and development of soil, water, and related resources.
