The Utah Weed Control Association, or UWCA, was organized in 1986. It was formed in order to bring weed control issues into a greater light and to provide a forum to address ways to improve weed control in the state.

RiversEdge West (formerly Tamarisk Coalition) was founded in 1999. RiversEdge West focuses on riparian forest and floodplain health in the American West to address impacts from invasive riparian (riverside) plants such as Russian olive and tamarisk, challenges associated with climate change and habitat fragmentation, and stressors that may result in diminished biodiversity and ecosystem services.

Premier Weed Management & Consulting, LLC (PWM) is a leading, regional business in Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah.  PWM provides custom herbicide application services and aquatic weed control to improve the aesthetics and recreational value of the land and support wildlife habitats.

Greg Gerlich is the Mountain-Prairie Regional AIS Coordinator for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Program.

The mission of WAPMS is to serve as a chapter of the Aquatic Plant Management Society (APMS) organization, providing a forum for members in Western North America to share interdisciplinary information related to aquatic plant and algae identification, detection, management and control.

The Society for Range Management is the professional scientific society and conservation organization whose members are concerned with studying, conserving, managing and sustaining the varied resources of the rangelands which comprise nearly half the land in the world.
