Soil and Water and Conservation District along with Natural Resources Conservation Service provides safe and efficient use of the lands within its boundaries in a manner that will ensure a stable and permanent economy and a desirable environmental condition in order to improve life through properly planned, applied, and maintained conservation practices and principles.

The Pima NRCD is a political sub-division of the State of Arizona. The Pima NRCD serves residents of Pima County Arizona (excluding the Tohono O'odham reservation)

The Eloy NRCD is located in an area primarily devoted to irrigated farming. Important crops are cotton, grain sorghum, and hay for dairy cattle.

Most of the District’s programs focus on irrigated agriculture. The District has partnered with the Florence-Coolidge and Eloy NRCD’s to sponsor the Irrigation Management Service (IMS) program for the past 20 years.

The Florence-Coolidge NRCD Board members are highly experienced local farmers and residents who take the mission of the District seriously and are dedicated to natural resource conservation and improving agriculture in this area.

Land ownership in the Santa Cruz NRCD is a mix of private, State, and federal lands. The District is committed to supporting policies and practices that are economically feasible, socially acceptable, and environmentally responsible.

The objective of the Redington NRCD is to provide leadership in promoting the conservation of all natural resources within the district. Throughout the Redington District there are few remaining ranching and farming properties.

WNRCD is a Natural Resource Conservation District based in Southern Arizona. Its goal is to promote the wise use of local land and water resources.

East Maricopa NRCD is located in the Maricopa county and includes thirteen cities. The mission of the East Maricopa NRCD is to provide technical assistance and education for conservation of natural resources to rural and urban land stewards.

The Gila River NRCD is located along the Gila River in Central Arizona. This area is mainly Sonoran desert shrub and receives low rain- fall.

Mission To support Conservation Districts in providing conservation leadership and education, and in addressing local conservation priorities in partnership with landowners, federal and state agencies, tribal & local governments and other partners.&

Land ownership in the District is a mix of private, State, and federal lands. Land use is primarily for livestock grazing, wildlife habitat, and outdoor recreation.

The Agua Fria NRCD is located just north of Phoenix. The District lies in a rugged area with mainly desert shrub type vegetation. Land ownership is a mix of private, State, and federal lands.

There are 1,764,771 acres of private and public lands within the District. From 1996 to 2010, USDA NRCS pro- vided $865,660. of support used for conservation improve- ments on 70,768 acres of private and state land for District Cooperators.

The Gila Bend NRCD is a large district located in lower Gila River Valley and the desert areas to the south. Most of the District is arid shrublands with some irrigated farming and dairies along the Gila River.

The Buckeye Valley NRCD is located west of Phoenix. The District is mainly composed of arid desert shrub lands with some grasslands at higher elevations.

Because it has a higher proportion of private and state lands than some areas, the District has long devoted much of its effort to coordinating USDA cost haring programs for conservation practices on farms and ranches, most of which are aimed at private and State-leased lands.

Land ownership in the Whitewater NRCD includes private, State, and federal lands, including some wildlife preserves. The District was initially established to address mainly farming problems such as salt accumulations and sulfur and smoke resulting from emissions of the copper smelter in Douglas.

The purpose of the Gila Valley NRCD is to provide local leadership and education to ensure the wise use and management of all natural resources within the district.

The Wellton-Mohawk Valley Soil Conservation District was voted on in a referendum January 8, 1949. The boundaries include lands lying east of Highway 95 to the Yuma County line.

Most of the land in the District and in Gila County is in federal ownership. The main land uses in the District are livestock grazing, wildlife habitat, and watershed.

The Verde NRCD has taken a leading role in helping area landowners and managers make more productive use of their soil and water resources while also protecting the environment.

Much of the Yuma Mesa area has become urbanized and the citrus and alfalfa crops have been reduced to accommodate urban and industrial growth.

The Laguna NRCD is located along the Colorado River on Arizona’s western border. The District includes desert shrublands and irrigated lands along the River.

A large percentage of the Triangle NRCD is in State or Federal ownership. The goals of the District are to educate the public about productive, sustainable land use and the conservation of natural resources.

Chino Winds NRCD is located in the north and central area of Yavapai County. Most of the District is comprised of rangeland, characterized by grassland, chaparral, and other vegetation types.

The objective of the Parker Valley NRCD is to promote conservation and education of our natural re- sources. The major land use in the valley is irrigated cropland, with alfalfa and cotton the dominate crops.

The lands within the Apache NRCD range from some of the highest elevations in Arizona in the White Mountains down into the semi-arid grasslands in the northern portion of the District.

Mission: To work with all entities; Federal, Indian Nation, State, County, City, Corporate and/or Private. Providing a means for people to work together  for natural resource conservation and devlelopment.

The Navajo County NRCD is located in the southern portion of Navajo County. The District ranges from pine forest on the higher southern end through grassland and pinion juniper woodland to desert shrub on the north.

The Big Sandy Natural Resource Conservation District (NRCD) lies entirely within Mohave County, Arizona and encompassed all the areas within the county excluding the Hualapai Indian Reservation.
