The Winnebago County Land and Water Conservation Department is dedicated to provide competent, professional services in the planning, design, and implementation of programs and projects that protect, restore, and sustain the natural resources of Winnebago County.

The Wisconsin Land and Water Conservation Association (WI Land+Water) is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit, membership organization that supports the efforts of the Land Conservation Committee (LCC) supervisors and the conservation staff in 72 county Land Conservation Department (LCD) offices.

The Land Conservation staff is responsible for preserving and protecting the land and water resources of Lincoln County. This is accomplished by developing programs aimed at conserving soil, water, and related natural resources and encouraging local residents to adopt these programs.

The Land Conservation Department (LCD) is a county department that implements and administers County and State of Wisconsin Soil and Water Conservation Programs.

A Land and Water Resource Management Plan was developed for Florence County through the cooperation of additional departments, agencies, organizations and individuals.

The goal of our department is foster and support a locally led process that improves decision making, streamlines administration and maximizes local, state, and federal funds to protect Wisconsin’s land and water resources.
