Lincoln County Land and Water Conservation Dept

The Land Conservation staff is responsible for preserving and protecting the land and water resources of Lincoln County. This is accomplished by developing programs aimed at conserving soil, water, and related natural resources and encouraging local residents to adopt these programs.

Locally led natural resource management is an important concept in Wisconsin Land and Water Conservation. State and federal agencies support the idea that local residents are best suited to identify and provide solutions for natural resource problems within a county. At the root of the County's Land and Water Resource Management Plan is the concept of cooperation among local residents and all natural resource agencies operating within Lincoln County.
