Monarch Butterfly

A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded by tribal citizens in Oklahoma to offer education about threatened butterflies and pollinators, to provide training in butterfly farming, and to promote habitat restoration using native plants.

Through our programs, we unite conservation organizations, businesses, health care institutions, schools, the scientific community, and faith-based organizations in Texan-led conservation.

At Sustainable Monarch, we believe it takes a network of people, communities, businesses, and government to bring about real and lasting change, especially when the focus is saving the migration of an insect that crosses 3 countries and requires a specific diet! We protect monarch habitat through education, conservation, research and economic development.

The Monarch Collaborative consists of national organizations representing farmers, ranchers, and land owners; businesses working along the agricultural supply chain; researchers and academic institutions; federal and state entities; and conservation organizations.

Prairie Partners is a program designed by the Rocky Mountain Bird Observatory to conserve prairie birds and the habitat they depend upon. Over 70% of the Great Plains is privately owned.

The Monarch Larva Monitoring Project (MLMP) is a citizen science project involving volunteers from across the United States and Canada in monarch research
