The Papio-Missouri River NRD is a regional government agency that protects ground and surface water, reduces flood threats, slows the effects of soil erosion, creates and enhances wildlife habitat and much more.

The Nebraska Association of Resources Districts is the trade association for Nebraska's 23 natural resources districts. NARD has three full-time employees, and is governed by a 23-Board made up of directors from individual districts.

The Nemaha Natural Resources District is a political subdivision of the State of Nebraska situated in the southeastern most counties of Nebraska.

The Lower Big Blue Natural Resources District is located in southeast Nebraska and is the lower portion of the Big Blue River Basin which includes parts of Jefferson, Saline, Gage, and Pawnee counties.

To protect and conserve Nebraska's groundwater and other natural resources is an endearing vocation, and to that end, we are pleased to serve the citizens of Nebraska who benefit from these resources.

Nebraska's Natural Resources are the greatest sources of the state's wealth and its assurance for future prosperity. The Nebraska Legislature enacted laws in 1972 to combine 154 special purpose entities into 23 Natural Resources Districts (NRDs).

The Little Blue NRD’s programs and policies are directed by a 17 member, locally elected, Board of Directors. The Board meets the Second Tuesday of each month at the NRD headquarters in Davenport, Nebraska.

The Central Platte NRD manages natural resources for all or parts of 11 counties along the Platte River. Soil erosion, flooding and surface/groundwater drainage are all challenges that are faced in this District.

 The Lewis & Clark NRD manages natural resources for part of 3 counties along the Missouri River in Northeast Nebraska. The Lewis & Clark NRD has long maintained the need for local input into federal management activity on the Missouri River.

The Lower Loup Natural Resources District is one of 23 NRDs serving the people of Nebraska. Set up along hydrological boundaries, the NRDs are the local agencies responding to natural resources challenges in a variety of areas.

The Upper Elkhorn Natural Resources District is one of 23 natural resources districts in the State of Nebraska.  It has been charged with the responsibility of managing, protecting and developing Nebraska's natural resources for the good of the state and future generations.

Tri-Basin NRD offers a variety of programs and services for Kearney, Phelps and Gosper Counties in Nebraska. Listed below are links to information about each program/service that we offer.

The Lower Republican Natural Resources District encompasses southcentral Nebraska’s Republican River Basin, including Furnas, Harlan, Franklin, most of Webster and part of Nuckolls counties.

The LNNRD closely monitors both the quality and quantity of the ground water in our district. We implemented a district wide ground water management area (GWMA) in 1996.

 The Middle Republican Natural Resources District is responsible for the protection of the natural resources and assists landowners in planning, funding, and applying conservation practices.

The Upper Loup NRD, part of the Loup River Basin, is comprised of 6,690 square miles and includes all of Grant, Hooker, Thomas, Blaine, and Logan counties and parts of McPherson, Brown, and Cherry Counties.

The general purpose of the Twin Platte Natural Resources District is to engage in a series of programs of management, development, and protection of the soil and water resources found in the District.

Since 1972, the MNNRD has been proactively monitoring and managing groundwater. Within a month of the Nebraska Department of Natural Resources (NDNR) preliminary fully appropriated determination, the MNNRD board adopted new rules to help protect future water rights by requiring the certification of existing water uses.

Located in southwest Nebraska, the Upper Republican Natural Resources District consists of all of Chase, Perkins and Dundy Counties. The District is unique in that it borders both Colorado and Kansas; it also neighbors the Middle Republican NRD to the east, and the Twin Platte NRD to the north.

The South Platte Natural Resources District (NRD) is one of 23 NRDs in Nebraska charged with the management, development and protection of soil and water resources.

The Upper Niobrara White NRD serves the citizens of Box Butte, Dawes, Sheridan and most of Sioux Counties. We are dedicated to the conservation of natural resources of Northwest Nebraska.

Nebraska is divided into 23 natural resources districts (NRDs), multi-purpose, local units of government established to conserve, protect, develop and manage natural resources.
