I have worked up and down California independently as a consultant to private landowners including farmers and ranchers, also owners of estates, country clubs, and private refuges, and their architects and attorneys on matters of conservation and ecological interest.

The rich soils and moderate climate of Monterey County make it an ideal place for invasive weed species to colonize. Invasive weeds are usually able to out-compete local native plant species for water and space because they are more prolific, have more vigorous growth, and lack predators that would otherwise help to keep them in check.

Ventana Wildlife Society received its nonprofit status in 1982 and immediately got to work restoring the Bald Eagle to central coastal California.

We work with private landowners, business & industry, municipalities and government agencies to help these stakeholders understand and benefit from the expanding market for ecological assets, including mitigation and conservation credits, water quality credits and carbon sequestration credits.
