Located in the east central portion of the state, the Fox River Valley District is composed of agricultural land, rivers and lakes. Because of the many rivers and lakes and several larger cities, tourism is a major industry within the district. The District is also home to several state parks. Gardeners in the district face challenges to their gardening abilities. The soil type in the district ranges from blow sand in the west to clay in the east.
The Fox River Valley District is made up of seven garden clubs. All of the clubs have ongoing and potential new projects for their communities.
