Mr. De Smet's practice includes a wide variety of civil matters.  He provides real estate counsel in many areas including construction and development issues, property disputes, and matters involving property damage, including timber trespass issues.  Mr. De Smet counsels clients on drafting wills, formation of trusts, and general estate matters.  His practice also includes landlord and tenant disputes, personal injury claims, foreclosure matters, insurance defense and collection matters, as well as providing counsel for homeowner associations.
