Proactive Conservation for Working Lands

The Trust for Public Land, Chicago Area Office

The Trust for Public Land is working every day to create and protect the beautiful places that make Illinois so special. Our signature project was creating The 606, an elevated 2.7 mile trail that connects four neighborhoods and is within a 10-minute walk of 80,000 Chicagoans. We continue to serve as a private partner, advocate, and steward of the trail, and are hard at work creating and improving neighborhood parks and local trails, as well as protecting priority lands across our state.
