Sublette County Conservation District

The Sublette County Conservation District (SCCD) was formed on October 15, 1986 when the Big Piney and Pinedale Conservation Districts combined to form a county-wide district.

The SCCD was formed to provide leadership for the development, conservation, and protection of Sublette County's natural resources.

The SCCD is a legal subdivision of the Wyoming State Government and helps coordinate assistance from a variety of sources (private, county, state, and federal)

Technical assistance is furnished to the SCCD through a cooperative agreement with USDA-NRCS (Natural Resources Conservation Service) Pinedale Field Office.

The SCCD provides assistance to:

  • Ranchers
  • Individuals
  • Managers retained by absentee landowners
  • Small acreage landowners
  • Companies and consultants associated with oil and gas development
  • Groups (youth and adult)
  • Local, state and federal units of government
