Southern Illinois Sub-OfficeThe office was originally established around 1971 to provide coordination for the Upper Mississippi River Conservation Committee and review of federal projects in Illinois along with projects on the Upper Mississippi River adjacent to Illinois. The office expanded to include the state of Iowa in 1982 and has handled federal agency coordination in Illinois-Iowa since that time.
