Rocky Point Community Wildfire Protection Plan

The purpose of this Community Wildfire Protection Plan is to establish priorities and recommendations that provide for a greater level of protection for the at-risk neighborhoods within the Rocky Point community, its citizens, homes, and essential infrastructure and resources from the destruction of catastrophic wildfire within the wildland-urban interface. The mitigation actions proposed herein for the Rocky Point Community Wildfire Risk Assessment are based on information acquired from the analysis of fuel surveys, Home Risk Assessments, FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Act) evaluations, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) analysis and verbal communications with community members during the course of data collection.
