Pike Soil and Water Conservation District

The Pike SWCD will provide leadership and service that enables Pike County landowners to conserve, protect, and enhance soil, water, and related natural resources.

Funding is obtained from the Pike County Commissioners with matching funds from the State of Ohio.  Other operating funds are acquired through grants, the sale of conservation materials and supplies (tree seedlings, wildlife nesting structures, etc.) the rental of District owned equipment and local donations.  

Technical assistance is provided to the Pike SWCD through a signed memorandum of understanding with the United States Department of Agriculture – Natural Resources Conservation Service (USDA-NRCS) and the Ohio Department of Agriculture - Division of Soil and Water Conservation.
