Matthew FehrenbacherUpdated:07/2014

B.S. Forest Management, Oregon State University

A native of the rural Willamette Valley, Matt Fehrenbacher has been managing private forestlands in western Oregon for over 15 years.  His work has largely focused on the development, planning and implementation of silvicultural strategies that strike a balance between the economy and ecology of the working forest landscape. Matt is currently managing the van Eck Oregon Forest, a 7,200 acre property in Lincoln County that is under a working forest conservation easement. The scale of Matt’s work has ranged from large industrial ownerships and investment holdings to family owned forests.  In recent years, Matt has been instrumental in the development and management of several forest carbon projects in the western and southeastern US.
