 Mission Statement 
To provide educational, technical, and financial resources to assist landowners to promote, protect, and preserve our land and water resources.

Services

  • Trees available for field windbreaks and wildlife plantings.  Tubex tree shelters are also available.
  • Tree planting and tree staking service.
  • Weed badger application for weed control.
  • Technical assistance is available to individuals, groups and communities concerning conservation development and use of natural resources.
  • Technical implementation of Wetland Conservation Act and Food Security Act.
  • Resource data and equipment provided to apply soil and water conservation measures.
  • Administration of funds from the State Cost Share Program.
  • Soil information is available to anyone.
  • Rainfall monitoring program information is available.
  • Adult and youth conservation tours are available.
  • Conservation education materials, slide presentations and videos are made available to school and other youth groups in the District.
  • Research information available to aid students in the poster, essay, mural and video contest.
  • Conservation information and materials available to church, civic and other groups upon request.
  • Promotion and awareness of the blessings of our country through Soil Stewardship Week.
  • Haybuster drill custom seeding.
  • Implementation of the Minnesota Agricultural Water Quality Certification Program (MAWQCP)
  • Implementation of Governor Dayton's Buffer Law
  • Agricultural Best Management Practices (AgBMP) low interest loans available.
