I work as a wildlife diversity biologist (aka nongame biologist). My training is in ornithology and bird conservation is a substantial part of my position. However, because I work in a relatively small wildlife diversity program, I cover a wide range of taxonomic groups beyond birds including reptiles, amphibians, small mammals, threatened and endangered species, and some stream fish and invertebrates. I am the grants coordinator for ODWC's terrestrial wildlife projects that are funded through the State Wildlife Grants program and the ESA Section 6 grants program. I am the state's nongame bird representataive for the Central Flyway Council, Oaks and Prairies Joint Venture, Central Hardwoods Joint Venture and Lower Mississippi Joint Venture
