The District takes available technical, financial, and educational resources, whatever their source, and focuses or coordinates them so that they meet the needs of the local land user for conservation of soil, water and related resources.

We provide technical assistance to individuals, groups, and units of government in Lorain County for the management of natural resources including soil, water, forest, and other related issues.

All technical assistance offered by Lorain SWCD is due in accordance with conservation practices standards as spelled out by Ohio Field Office Technical Guide which is developed and managed by the USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service.
