The Land Conservancy of Will County preserves,protects, and enhances the natural, cultural, historical, agricultural,and open space environment. We work closely with the community,private land owners, developers, public agencies, and other non-profit groups for the common benefit of present and future generations.
To further this purpose, Land Conservancy of Will County will:
- Acquire, by donation or purchase, land, easements or other conservation mechanisms for public benefit.
- Educate citizens, landowners and community leaders to respect conservation values.
- Encourage sustainable community development through flexible, cooperative and effective approaches to land conservation.
- Protect and manage open space for the future viability of the ecosystem.
