Laclede Soil and Water Conservation District

Mission
The district is dedicated to the conservation of our environment through the wise use of soil, water, and related natural resources.  To accomplish this mission, with the aid of our "partners in conservation" --- the Natural Resources Conservation Service,  we promote various soil and water conservation practices on agricultural land to help conserve soil and prevent runoff  into our streams from animal wastes and other agricultural nonpoint sources of  pollution .   To accomplish this end the District administers the State Cost-share program and conducts a variety of educational programs for youngsters and adults.
