John Marksberry

John is a native of Splendora, Texas but moved to Hemphill, Texas while in high school. He then went on to Stephen F. Austin State University and received a bachelor’s degree in Forest Wildlife Management. John can sing, play guitar, hunt, fish, make jerky and jelly, and carve duck decoys. He also likes archery, Native American artifacts, nature photography, the mountains of Colorado, and is a big fan of George Jones. More than all of that, he is a husband and father. John joined the team right after graduating SFASU in May of 2016.

Bird Forestry has been a leader in the forest consulting business for over 40 years with management ranging from small family forests to large industrial landowners across Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas and Oklahoma.

Family centered, comprehensive, innovative and exclusively client focused – that’s Bird Forestry.
