Jim Wells County Extension

Jim Wells County is located in South Texas 45 miles West of Corpus Christi, Texas.  Founded in 1912 and named for James Babbage Wells, Jr.   Alice is the county seat and largest city in the county.  Adjacent cities and communities include;  Sandia, Orange Grove, Ben Bolt, Palito Blanco, and Premont.  Based on the 2010 census, the population for Jim Wells County was 40,838.

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Jim Wells County  is committed to providing educational programs in agriculture and natural resources, family and consumer sciences, 4-H and youth development and community development to the residents of Jim Wells County.
