Iowa Corn Promotion Board

The Iowa Promotion Board includes Iowa corn growers, elected by their peers, who direct funds collected through the Iowa corn checkoff program. The ICPB invests checkoff dollars in research, market development, and education about corn and corn products, to help defend and extend markets for Iowa corn growers.

Established by a grower referendum in 1977 and continuing to add value for Iowa’s corn farmers today, the Iowa Corn checkoff has served as a model for many other states across the country.

The 8,000-member strong grassroots-driven Iowa Corn Growers Association proactively speaks for Iowa’s corn growers, lobbying and advocating on corn-related issues. ICGA stands up for corn interests, cultivates relationships, and harvests results. ICGA’s lobbying and legislative efforts are financed through membership dollars. The association and its elected board of directors from each crop reporting district work to build relationships with business and industry. ICGA provides Iowa corn growers with an effective voice in Iowa, Washington, D.C., and around the world.
