Idalia Butterfly Society

The Idalia Society of Mid-American Lepidopterists was founded in 1989 to promote the study, appreciation and preservation of lepidoptera of the Midwest.  “Lepidoptera” means “scaly wings” and refers to the order of insects including butterflies and moths. Meets four times a year with classroom meetings and potluck dinners. See web site for schedule of events.
