Grantsville CD encompasses the northern portion of Tooele County. The CD works to promote and achieve conservation and sustainability of Utah’s natural resources by bringing government and local agencies together with private interests to foster solutions and to provide financial and educational assistance to landowners and land users.
The five-member board is made up of elected citizens who are called CD Supervisors. The board gives local direction, priority, and support to governmental (district, county, state, or federal) land, water and air conservation programs.
We serve a range of agricultural interests and participate in a wide variety of natural resource conservation programs. We encourage and assist local landowners to develop and follow conservation plans that help them to get funding for conservation programs.
Education is the first step in effective conservation. The Grantsville Lake Conservation District proudly supports and hosts many important conservation programs. We strive to inform teachers, students, landowners and resident about local conservation issues and empower them to take ownership and make a difference in our community.
