Mission
The Gallatin Conservation District Supervisors’ goal, in partnership with the NRCS, is to guide the District in the conservation and management of soil, water, cropland, grazing lands, weeds, energy, and small acreages by providing leadership in conservation planning, technical assistance, educational resources, and resource management tools and inventories.
Cost Share Program:
The CD is offering a cost share program for Gallatin County landowners for natural resource-based projects. The CD will fund 50% of a project, up to $1,000.00. Typical projects include: irrigation projects, native landscaping, fencing, pasture renovations, riparian/stream restoration, alternative energy projects, soil health, gardening, windbreak/shelterbelts, weed management, or any other project that enhances or improves our natural resource environment.
