A Land and Water Resource Management Plan was developed for Florence County through the cooperation of additional departments, agencies, organizations and individuals. As directed in Wisconsin Chapter 92, these county plans are required to focus available resources on:
- conserving long-term soil productivity
- protecting the quality of related natural resources
- enhancing water quality
- addressing severe soil erosion problems
