Elmore Soil and Water Conservation District

The Elmore Soil and Water Conservation District was organized in 1940 to provide voluntary land and water conservation and technical and financial assistance within the District. The District assists in the preparation and implementation of conservation plans to help conserve and wisely use resources.

Mission

  • Deliver natural resource conservation technology and education to promote management practices and wise use of natural resources to ensure a sustainable resource base for present and future generations.
  • Promote Best Management Practices implemented by landowners on a non- regulatory basis rather than mandated by government agencies.
  • Make technical, financial and educational resources available and coordinate them to meet the needs of the local land manager with conservation of soil, water and related natural resources.
