East Cassia Soil and Water Conservation District

The East Cassia Soil and Water Conservation District was organized in September of 1956 to provide voluntary land and water conservation technical and financial assistance to landowners and users in the eastern half of Cassia County.

Mission:

  • Set high standards for conservation of natural resources.
  • Educate both youth and adults in conservation practices and needs.
  • Encourage cooperation among landowners, government agencies, private organizations, etc. to accomplish conservation goals.
  • Carry out a well-balanced resource conservation program focused around soil erosion, water management improvements and reduction of flood damages on the Raft River.
