Delta Conservation District

Our Mission: The Mission of the Delta Conservation District is to provide for the conservation and preservation of our natural resources and agricultural heritage in order to ensure the health prosperity and welfare of the citizens of the District and the State of Colorado.

Our Vision: The Delta Conservation District provides a leadership role in promoting the wise stewardship of our natural resources by coordinating conservation efforts, activities, and funding for local conditions, needs, and priorities. It provides local leadership to state and federal programs that affect natural resource conservation within the state and identifies natural resource concerns through local workgroups. It works directly with land owners and offers technical advice on natural resource concerns. It hosts educational tours, workshops and seminars and sponsors youth and teachers to attend conservation camps and workshops. In summation, it serves as the communications conduit from local citizens to local, state and federal government agencies and as a place for landowners to come and seek assistance with the effective use of natural resources and development of agricultural.
