Cottonwood Irrigation District

Cottonwood Irrigation District is located in Smoot, Wyoming.

Cottonwood Irrigation water comes from Cottonwood Creek.  Our intake structure is in Cottonwood Canyon.  Water is diverted from the creek at the rate of 31,000 gallons per minute.  We can run 125 sprinkler lines.  We irrigate 5,000 acres.  There are 35 miles of buried pipe.  The pipe sizes range from 4-inch to 42-inch.
