The purpose of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Comal County is to educate residents in agriculture, environmental stewardship, family and consumer sciences, health, youth and adult life skills, human capital and leadership, and community economic development.

We are committed to excellence and adhere to strong Extension principles including: ensuring that all residents have access to educational programs; continuing to have education as its primary mission; valuing the principles of citizens and community involvement, learning and volunteerism; emphasizing preventive education; evaluating programs and adapting accordingly; and emphasizing the concept of “helping people to help themselves.”

We educate residents on improving their health, safety, productivity, and well-being; improving environmental stewardship and natural resources; contributing to their economic security and prosperity; making residents responsible, productive, and self-motivated youth and adults.

Mission: To provide quality, relevant outreach and continuing education programs and services to the people of Comal County.

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service educational programs are open to all people without regard to race, color, sex, disability, religion, age, or national origin. We work with other Extension offices through the Texas A&M University System, the United States Department of Agriculture, and the County Commissioners’ Courts of Texas Cooperating and are a member of the Texas A&M University System and its statewide Agriculture Program.
