Castleland RC&D is a non-profit entity serving southeastern Utah by conserving and developing the region's natural resources and communities.
Established in 1991, Castleland Resource Conservation and Development is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization headquartered in Castle Dale, Utah. The Castleland RC&D addresses resource conservation and development issues in Carbon, Emery, Grand and San Juan Counties of southeastern Utah. The area comprises approximately 17,400 square miles and represents nearly one fourth of the State of Utah. San Juan County includes Indian Reservation lands belonging to the Navajos and White Mesa Utes. The Native American population makes up over half of San Juan County's population.
Castleland RC&D’s mission is to be a creative and effective partnership of community leaders and volunteers dedicated to enhancing southeastern Utah communities. Castleland RC&D’s vision is to facilitate community excellence by building partnerships, creating dialogue and developing processes to better utilize natural and human resources in southeastern Utah.
