Carlsbad Soil and Water Conservation District

Soil and Water Conservation District promotes stewardship of natural resources by providing leadership, education, technical and financial assistance to the citizens of the District. We support our constituents through our cropland assistance, brush management, weed management, conservation programs, native plant sales, and workshops. The District helps increase conservation awareness through participation in local and regional events, science fairs, educational initiatives, and NRCS Farm Bill programs.

The Soil and Water Conservation District's objectives:

  1. Continue to improve watershed health using needed conservation practices to assist Land Owners.
  2. Maintain the Information and Education program to improve the knowledge of conservation in our district.
  3. Maintain our participation in projects that benefit communities within the District.
  4. Continue our inter-agency relations, and support on conservation issues of common interest.
  5. Develop and maintain flood control projects within the district.
  6. Increase involvement in the Legislative activities that affect the District
