California Council for Wildlife Rehabilitators (CCWR)

The california council for wildlife rehabilitators is dedicated to advancing wildlife rehabilitation and supporting wildlife in a changing world.

CCWR offers a website with information and resources for wildlife rehabilitators and members of the public, holds an annual symposium, host a forum for our membership and publishes E-Newsletters and Action Alerts in order to attain the following goals:

  • Promote professionalism in the field of wildlife rehabilitation
  • Encourage the sharing of ideas and solutions
  • Create training opportunities that meet continuing education requirements
  • Build awareness to time-sensitive advocacy issues
  • Encourage regional meetings and active participation
  • Encourage state-wide protocols for consistency of animal care
