Bruneau River Soil Conservation District

The Bruneau River Soil Conservation District was organized in 1953 and identified their priorities as drainage investigations, developing and irrigating new land for agriculture and performing soil surveys and water table studies. The long-range resource conservation program places high priority on irrigation water management, rangeland management, animal waste management and protection of wildlife habitat.

Mission (or Function):
• To take available technical, financial, and educational resources, whatever their source, and focus on coordinate them so that they meet the needs of the local land user for conservation of soil, water quality and fish and wildlife habitat.
