The San Juan Islands National Monument is part of BLM's Spokane District and encompasses nearly 1,000 acres of land spread across the rocks and islands of the San Juan Archipelago

The Wenatchee Field Office is a part of the Spokane District.

In western Oregon, the BLM manages two million acres of forest in a checkerboard ownership pattern. These forests provide important habitat for many threatened and endangered fish and wildlife species and are considered some of the most productive forests in the world.

The Monarch Conservation Science Partnership is a USGS led group of scientists, managers, and conservation organizations who perform science related to the conservation of monarch butterflies.
