The mission of the Washington State Urban and Community Forestry Program is to provide leadership to create self-sustaining urban and community forestry programs that preserve, plant and manage forests and trees for public benefits and quality of life.

SUF provides assistance to both private and public landowners in timber appraisals, forest management plans, Oregon white oak woodland management plans, landscape tree appraisals, expert witness services, hazard tree appraisals, tree protection plans, forest carbon offset plans, and carbon exchange programs.

King Conservation District (King CD) is a natural resources assistance agency authorized by Washington State and guided by the Washington State Conservation Commission.
