Monarch Butterfly

The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) Wildlife Division has direct responsibility for monitoring the numbers and health of wildlife species, setting population conservation and management objectives, overseeing wildlife habitat restoration and maintenance, and regulating harvest of game animals.

The natural resource programs at the Oregon Department of Agriculture are dedicated to protecting and improving Oregon's natural beauty, with clean air and clean water for future generations, while ensuring the viability of our many important agricultural commodities.

North Wind Resource Consulting provides environmental documentation and permitting (including natural and cultural resource surveys; wildlife and botanical expertise; National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) technical services; and environmental consultation such as Section 106 for cultural resources, Section 404 for wetlands, and Section 7 for endangered species); design and engineering services (including civil and mechanical, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and mapping capabilities; and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) services).

The Western Governors’ Association represents the Governors of 19 Western states and 3 U.S.-flag islands. The association is an instrument of the Governors for bipartisan policy development, information exchange and collective action on issues of critical importance to the Western United States.

The Monarch Conservation Science Partnership is a USGS led group of scientists, managers, and conservation organizations who perform science related to the conservation of monarch butterflies.
