The Lower Mississippi River Fish and Wildlife Conservation Office (FWCO) coordinates the work of many different state and federal natural resource management and environmental quality agencies that deal with aquatic resource issues along the Lower Mississippi River and throughout the Southeastern United States.

Serving Mississippi by conserving our most imperiled species and working with federal agencies to conserve plants, fish, and wildlife.

The Alabama Ecological Services Field Office was established in the mid-1980s. Our main office is located in the heart of downtown Daphne, Alabama.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, working with others, is responsible for conserving, protecting, and enhancing fish and wildlife and their habitats for the continuing benefit of the American people through Federal programs relating to migratory birds, endangered species, interjurisdictional fish and marine mammals, and inland sport fisheries.
