The Elsberry Plant Materials Center (MOPMC) develops plants and new planting technologies for Illinois, Iowa, and Missouri. The area includes; glacial till prairies, Mississippi valley; loess hills, Iowa and Mississippi deep loess heavy till plains; thin loess hills and plains, Mississippi valley slopes; and the Ozark highlands

NRCS is working with agricultural producers to combat the decline of monarch butterflies by planting milkweed and other nectar-rich plants on private lands.

NRCS provides assistance to design, layout and install conservation practices that fit both the resource needs and the producer's objectives for the land.
