The Magic Valley Land Trust is a non-profit organization with active operations in south central Idaho. Our goals include enhancing recreational access to the Snake River and other areas of local interest, conserving working farms and ranches, improving water quality, contributing to soil health and agricultural sustainability, and conserving natural areas for public enjoyment.

Wood River Land Trust protects and restores land, water, and wildlife habitat in the Wood River Valley and its surrounding areas. We work with landowners and local communities to ensure that these areas are protected for future generations.

Sagebrush Steppe Land Trust works with willing landowners in Southeast Idaho to conserve private land by creating tailored agreements, known as conservation easements, to protect land while keeping it in private ownership.

Wallowa Land Trust is a local nonprofit, tax-exempt organization founded in 2004 by Wallowa County landowners and residents. Our mission is to protect the rural nature of the Wallowa Country by working cooperatively with private landowners, Indian tribes, local communities and governmental entities to conserve land.

The mission of the Northwest Rangeland Trust is to help Oregon, Washington, and Idaho ranch and farm landowners protect and preserve the long-term viability of their ecologically significant private lands.

The organization was originally founded in 2002 as the Clark Fork-Pend Oreille Conservancy with the purpose of supporting the land conservation needs of Avista Corporation’s protection, mitigation, and enhancement measures as required under the Clark Fork Settlement Agreement.

Peter Nichols practices: water law, water quality law, environmental law, and land and water conservation law.  Peter has particular expertise in the federal Clean Water Act and water rights, conservation easements involving water rights, and the temporary use of agricultural irrigation water rights to meet municipal needs.

The Watershed Land Trust (WLT) Is a nonprofit charitable organization which was formed to hold land in fee simple and/or conservation easements in perpetuity.
