Lesser Prairie Chicken Oil and Gas CCAA

WAFWA and US FWSThis Range-Wide Oil and Gas Candidate Conservation Agreement with Assurances (CCAA) for the LPC represents a collaborative effort between the FWS, the Western Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies (WAFWA), WAFWA’s Foundation for Western Fish and Wildlife (FWFW), interested oil and gas companies, and trade associations. It is one of the enrollment options for implementing the conservation strategy set forth in the 2013 Lesser Prairie-Chicken Range-wide Conservation Plan (RWP), which is a comprehensive conservation plan developed by the Lesser Prairie-Chicken Interstate Working Group of WAFWA. This CCAA utilizes the same impact metrics and conservation delivery system outlined in the RWP. All citations to the RWP in this CCAA reference the October 2013 version of the RWP.
