701 landowners have signed Lesser Prairie Chicken Initiative (LPCI) contracts to preserve 942,572 acres

The Lesser Prairie Chicken Initiative (NRCS) has conserved 942,572 acres of habitat through 701 contracts with landowners. NRCS investment in the LPCI action area has resulted in approximately 700,000 acres of LPC habitat benefited, with 20% of that occurring in Focal Areas and Connectivity Zones.
