Industry enrolls almost 4 million acres in Range-wide Plan
Thirty wind energy, transmission, and oil and gas companies have enrolled approximately 4 million acres in the Range-wide Plan.
As of April 22, WAFWA has received paperwork from 46 companies with funding for about $24.3 million in 3 year contracts and another 14 companies funding about $5.9 million. This results in about $30.3 million in funding for LPC conservation across the 5 state range.
WAFWA aimed to accumulate $30 million in the first 3 years from company enrollment, but this goal was reached in the first 4 months of enrollment!
